This Privacy Policy explains how [LEGAL COMPANY NAME], doing business as Rapid Trades ("Rapid Trades," "we," "us," or "our"), handles personal information in connection with rapid-trades.com, app.rapid-trades.com, and the related products and services described in our Terms of Service (together, the "Services").
It describes what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.
Rapid Trades is market-research software. We are not a broker-dealer, investment adviser, exchange, or money manager, and we do not hold customer funds or securities. Our Terms of Service govern your use of the Services; this Policy governs personal information.
If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Services.
Section 1. SCOPE OF THIS POLICY
This Policy applies to personal information we handle through:
- the Rapid Trades marketing website at rapid-trades.com;
- the Rapid Trades application at app.rapid-trades.com;
- accounts, subscriptions and billing;
- support and other correspondence with us; and
- other Rapid Trades products or services that link to this Policy.
It does not apply to the practices of companies we do not own or control, including your broker, an exchange, a news publisher, or any third-party website you reach from the Services. Their handling of your information is governed by their own policies.
The two parts of the Services collect very different amounts of information. The marketing website is largely passive; the application requires an account. Where that difference matters, this Policy says so.
Section 2. UNITED STATES AVAILABILITY
Rapid Trades is currently intended only for users located in the United States, consistent with our Terms of Service.
The Services are operated from the United States, and information we handle is processed in the United States. We do not currently offer the Services to individuals in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, and this Policy is not written to describe rights under those regimes.
If we make the Services available in other jurisdictions in the future, we will update this Policy accordingly.
Section 3. AGE REQUIREMENT
The Services are intended for adults. Our Terms of Service require you to be at least 18 years old to use them.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and the Services are not directed to children.
If we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will delete it. A parent or guardian who believes a minor has provided us with personal information may contact legal@rapid-trades.com.
Section 4. INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE TO US
You provide certain information directly. This includes:
- Account information. The email address you register with, and authentication credentials handled by our authentication provider.
- Profile information. Information stored on your Rapid Trades profile in connection with your account and access level.
- Subscription information. The plan you select and the status of your subscription.
- Workspace preferences. Scanner and interface settings you choose, such as filters, alert preferences and layout choices.
- Chatroom content. Messages you post in the Rapid Trades chatroom, if you use it.
- Support and other correspondence. The contents of messages you send us, including your email address and anything you choose to include.
- Form submissions. Information you enter into a form we host through a third-party form provider, such as the product-updates form on our marketing website.
You are not required to provide most of this information, but some of it is necessary to create an account or to use paid features.
Please do not send us sensitive personal information that we have not asked for, and do not post personal information about yourself or others in the chatroom that you would not want other users to see.
Section 5. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY
Some information is collected automatically when you use the Services.
Marketing website
The Rapid Trades marketing website does not set cookies of its own, does not use browser storage, and does not run analytics, advertising or other tracking software.
As with any website, our hosting and content-delivery providers process technical information necessary to deliver pages to you, which ordinarily includes your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and information your browser sends such as its user-agent string. This is standard server and network logging rather than tracking, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.
Application
The Rapid Trades application requires an account, and therefore uses authentication and session technologies to keep you signed in and to protect your account. It also records technical and security information necessary to operate the service, such as request and error logs and rate-limiting information.
The application stores certain interface preferences locally in your browser. These are used only to remember how you have arranged the interface and are not transmitted to us as a tracking profile.
Section 6. SOURCES OF INFORMATION
We obtain personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you, when you create an account, subscribe, set preferences, post in the chatroom, complete a form, or contact us.
- Automatically from your device or browser, as described above.
- From our service providers, who process information on our behalf and return information necessary to operate the Services — for example, our authentication provider confirming a sign-in, or our payment processor confirming a subscription status.
We do not purchase personal information about you from data brokers, and we do not enrich your account with information bought from third parties.
Section 7. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate and maintain the Services;
- create and authenticate your account and keep you signed in;
- manage your subscription, process payments through our payment processor, and maintain billing records;
- deliver scanner workspaces, alerts and other features you have configured;
- operate the chatroom and enforce its rules;
- respond to your support requests and other correspondence;
- send transactional and service messages, such as account, security, billing and policy notices;
- monitor, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access and other security incidents;
- apply rate limits and other technical protections;
- diagnose problems, maintain reliability and improve the Services; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
We do not use your personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you, and we do not use it to provide personalized investment advice — a point our Terms of Service addresses directly.
Section 8. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Similar technologies include browser storage such as localStorage.
Marketing website
The Rapid Trades marketing website does not set cookies of its own and does not use browser storage.
One page on our marketing website embeds a form hosted by a third-party form provider. That provider may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser when the form loads, under its own privacy policy and outside our control. If you do not use that page, that embed does not load.
Application
The Rapid Trades application uses:
- Strictly necessary authentication and session technologies, set by our authentication provider, which are required to sign you in, keep you signed in, and protect your account. The Services cannot function without these.
- Preference storage, held locally in your browser, which remembers interface choices such as scanner filters and layout settings.
We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, conversion pixels, session-replay tools, or cross-site tracking technologies anywhere in the Services.
Because the only cookies we set are strictly necessary for the Services to work, we do not currently operate a cookie consent banner. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, but blocking authentication cookies will prevent you from signing in.
Section 9. SERVICE PROVIDERS
We use a small number of service providers to operate the Services. They process personal information on our behalf, for our purposes, and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
As of the last-updated date of this Policy, these are:
- Authentication and database. Supabase provides user authentication and the database that stores account, profile, subscription-status, preference and chatroom information.
- Payments. Stripe processes subscription payments. See the payments section below.
- Rate limiting and caching. Upstash provides the managed Redis service used for rate limiting and caching.
- Forms. Tally hosts the optional product-updates form embedded on our marketing website.
- Hosting and content delivery. Our hosting providers deliver the marketing website and the application and process the server logs described above.
We may change providers as the Services evolve, and we will update this Policy when a change materially affects how personal information is handled.
We may also disclose personal information where we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests from regulators, exchanges, law enforcement or courts, enforce our Terms of Service, or protect the rights, safety and property of Rapid Trades, our users or the public. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
Section 10. PAYMENTS
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe.
Payment is taken through Stripe-hosted checkout. Card details are entered on Stripe's own payment page rather than on a Rapid Trades form, which means Rapid Trades does not receive or store your full payment-card number, card security code, or equivalent full payment credentials.
What we receive and retain from Stripe is the information necessary to operate your subscription — for example, an identifier linking your account to your Stripe customer and subscription records, the status of that subscription, and the email address associated with the purchase.
Stripe processes your payment information as an independent controller of that information for its own compliance and fraud-prevention purposes, under Stripe's privacy policy. We encourage you to read it.
Section 11. SALE, SHARING, AND TARGETED ADVERTISING
Several U.S. state privacy laws treat "sale," "sharing" and "targeted advertising" as distinct concepts, and some define them broadly enough to include disclosures that involve no payment at all. We address each separately.
Based on our current practices as of the last-updated date of this Policy:
- We do not sell personal information, as "sale" is defined under applicable U.S. state privacy laws.
- We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as "share" is defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, or for the equivalent concept under other state laws.
- We do not process personal information for targeted advertising, and we do not operate an advertising network, load advertising tags, or use advertising cookies or pixels anywhere in the Services.
- We do not use personal information for profiling in furtherance of decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
We have not sold or shared personal information for these purposes in the twelve months preceding the last-updated date of this Policy.
Disclosures to the service providers listed above are made so those providers can perform services for us. Those disclosures are not sales, and are not made for advertising purposes.
If this ever changes, we will update this Policy before the change takes effect and provide any opt-out mechanism required by law.
Section 12. DATA RETENTION
We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and then for any additional period required or permitted by law.
Because retention depends on the type of information and the reason we hold it, we apply criteria rather than a single fixed period:
- Account and profile information is retained while your account is open, and for a period afterward to handle disputes, security matters and legal obligations.
- Subscription and billing records are retained for the periods required by tax, accounting and financial-recordkeeping obligations, which are typically measured in years.
- Chatroom messages are retained while relevant to operating and moderating the chatroom.
- Security, log and rate-limiting information is retained for a shorter operational period appropriate to detecting and investigating abuse.
- Support correspondence is retained for as long as needed to resolve your request and keep a record of it.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or take steps to render it no longer reasonably associable with you. Information held by our service providers is retained under their own schedules and our arrangements with them.
Section 13. DATA SECURITY
We take reasonable measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption of data in transit, authentication controls, access restrictions, rate limiting, and reliance on established infrastructure providers.
No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we do not promise that it is. Transmission over the internet carries inherent risk, and no set of safeguards eliminates it.
You are responsible for maintaining reasonable security over your own devices and credentials. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@rapid-trades.com promptly, as required by our Terms of Service.
Section 14. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding personal information about you:
- Access. To confirm whether we process personal information about you and to obtain a copy of it.
- Correction. To ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Deletion. To ask us to delete personal information about you.
- Portability. To obtain a copy of certain information in a portable format.
- Opt out. To opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, and certain profiling. As described above, we do not currently engage in these activities.
- Withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent, to withdraw it, without affecting processing already carried out.
- Appeal. In states that provide an appeals process, to appeal a decision we make about your request.
- Limit sensitive information. In states providing this right, to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not collect sensitive personal information for the purposes that would trigger this right.
Not every right applies to every user. These rights come from specific state laws and apply according to your state of residence, the nature of the information, and the exceptions those laws contain. We will tell you if an exception applies to your request.
Section 15. HOW TO MAKE A PRIVACY REQUEST
To make a privacy request, contact us at:
Please include enough detail for us to understand and act on your request — the right you wish to exercise, and the email address associated with your Rapid Trades account.
Identity verification. We will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request, which ordinarily means confirming control of the email address associated with the account. We may need to ask for additional information if we cannot verify you from what you provide. We use information provided for verification only for that purpose.
We will respond within the time required by applicable law, and will tell you if we need an extension that the law permits.
Authorized agents. Where applicable law allows, you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may ask the agent for proof of authorization, and may ask you to verify your own identity directly with us or to confirm that you authorized the request.
Section 16. NON-DISCRIMINATION
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
We will not deny you the Services, charge you a different price, provide a different level or quality of service, or suggest that we will do any of those things because you exercised a right, except where a difference is reasonably related to the value of the information and permitted by applicable law.
We do not currently offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.
Some requests may affect your ability to use the Services as a practical matter — for example, deleting your account information means you can no longer sign in. That is a consequence of the request, not a penalty for making it.
Section 17. GLOBAL PRIVACY CONTROL AND UNIVERSAL OPT-OUT SIGNALS
Some browsers and extensions send a universal opt-out signal, such as Global Privacy Control ("GPC"), indicating that you wish to opt out of the sale of personal information and sharing for targeted advertising.
Rapid Trades does not currently detect or process GPC or other universal opt-out signals. We are describing our practices accurately rather than claiming a capability we have not implemented.
The activities such a signal would opt you out of are activities we do not carry out: as described above, we do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it for targeted advertising anywhere in the Services.
If we begin any activity for which applicable law requires recognition of a universal opt-out signal, we will implement that recognition and update this Policy before doing so.
Section 18. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND EMBEDS
The Services link to third-party websites and resources, and one page on our marketing website embeds a form hosted by a third-party form provider.
A link or an embed is not an endorsement. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content, security or privacy practices. Information you provide to them is governed by their policies, not this one.
Our Terms of Service address third-party links and third-party providers in more detail.
Section 19. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the Services, our providers, or legal requirements.
The current version always shows its effective and last-updated dates at the top of this page.
For material changes affecting your rights, we will provide reasonable notice where required by applicable law, which may include notice through the Services or to the email address associated with your account.
Continued use of the Services after a revised Policy takes effect indicates that you are aware of the update, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
